YOUTH PROGRAM

First United Methodist Church in Des Plaines has
an active Youth Program for 6th – 12th graders. Meetings: Call the office for schedule. Fundraisers and Service Projects scheduled in-between. Fun Activities: Laser tag, flashlight pumpkin hunts, lock-ins, interactive games, go-karting, bowling, scavenger hunts, corn maze outings, retreats Service Projects: Bags of Hope – Helping the homeless in Chicago; Making quilts for families in need, setting up / serving food for special events, 4th of July parade, renovating the youth room FUNdraising: Booth at Des Plaines Fall Festival, Bizarre Bazaar, Rock-a-thon, Super Bowl Pizza Sale, Leprechaun lunch, Easter breakfast, car wash, Pesche’s flower sale, rummage sale and Frontier Days Faith: Every youth meeting provides an opportunity to hear a devotion with a scriptural reference, participate in a time of prayer and explore / learn more about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Friends: Youth group is the place to be! It’s a place to hang out with old friends and meet new friends. The more you come to youth group, the more it feels like home.
