Come To The Pet Blessing and Stay For The Jazz
On Friday, Oct 3, we’re combining two popular events for one great day of enjoyment. Our annual Pet Blessing and Prayer ceremony starts at 5:00 pm and is followed by Jazz Nite On The Lawn at 6:30 pm.

Everyone's invited!
October 4 is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. To commemorate this observance, First Church Des Plaines will offer pet blessings and free prayer on our lawn on Friday, October 3, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Stop by anytime for prayer and a blessing for furry, feathery, fluffy, slimy, and spikey friends of all shapes and sizes.​

In the event of bad weather, we will relocate to our building.
Parking is available at the rear of our building, along Graceland or Prairie Avenues, and in the public parking spaces on the ground floor of the Welkin Apartment building across Graceland Ave from First Church.

Pets must be safely secured or on leashes. This event is open to all our neighbors and the public.
Jazz Vesper performances are free. There is no charge for music or food.
